Don’t ever consider showing your home if it is not one of the best looking homes on the street, you will lose points right away and have the buyer thinking about how easy it would be to find something better. Make sure you do everything possible to make your property look better; real estate investors must be great at home improvement! Follow a few of the following tips to add some pop to your property.
* Don’t let your home be overcome with tall grass, grimy windows, or overflowing gutters. Make sure that the typical household chores have been done to give the home the best possible appearance. * Get a professional landscaper to make sure that your flower beds and/or garden are as fantastic looking as possible. A little color or country feel can go a long way to lending to the idea of this “house” becoming a “home”.* Keep your mailbox and driveway curb clean and freshly painted, it will be one of the first things they see! You can never underestimate the power of first impressions and you want this big sale to have the best possible first impression!* Take friends or family who haven’t seem the house before on a tour just as you would the potential buyer so they can point out items that may need work to you. Much like doing a crossword puzzle you may miss some obvious problems with the property if you are constantly looking at it. If getting someone to come with you is impossible then take a few days away from the house and then come back to see if anything stands out.* Get a nice front door with a fancy wood or with a fancy brass door knocker that gives the front of the home both a regal and welcoming feel. You want the buyer to feel like they could be walking to this home with the intention of it becoming something they come home from work to everyday!* Eliminate all the weeds and/or cracks in the sidewalk leading up to the house before you begin showing it. Make them be in awe before they enter the home, almost believing it may be out of their range!
